The Hardest Part of Building Your Business

Published: Sun, 10/21/12

Did you know that the most difficult part of building a successful home business is right between your ears?

We like to think that there are many parts of building this business that are difficult - finding just the right thing to day; finding a better pool of prospects; finding TIME; organizing our calendar and on and on.....

Sound familiar?

But, really, that all falls under the category of - I'm making this business harder than it is....which falls under the category of - it's only tough between your ears.

We all tend to make stuff up about the business. We think it is easier for some because they have better friends; a more polished way of asking people to look; or - Fill - In - The - Blank.

For those who are successful, it all comes down t mindset and belief. There is nothing earth shattering about how we work our businesses.

I was recently recognized by the CEO of my primary company on a leadership call for my consistency. And, he even said - "there is nothing "fireworks" about how you do your business, it's just consistency."

And, he is right. I make my list; I attend events; I pick up the phone; I follow up; I work with those on my team who "show up"; and I do this over and over and over again.

How are you doing in these areas? Are you being consistent? Or, are you falling into that pitfall of "making stuff up?" (It's okay to admit it, I did it for years!!!)

Join me on Thursday's mentoring call as I walk you through some ideas on how to get over this, and share a little tool I use to keep my vision and my "self talk" positive and empowering!

Want some answers to the common questions of building this business? This week on my Home Business Radio Show, I am presenting the M  L  M Q and A Grab bag, answering the most common questions I get including how to handle an unsupportive spouse; what networking events should I be attending to generate business; how do I stay FOCUSED; finding TIME; how to engage people while you are out and about; what if my warm market is worn out; and MORE!!!

My show airs:

Monday - Wednesday - 5am EASTERN/2am PACIFIC AND 5pm EASTERN/5pm PACIFIC

Thursday - Sunday -  11am EASTERN/8am PACIFIC AND 11pm EASTERN/8pm PACIFIC

Thanks to ALL of you for your support and listening in, my show has now been moved to a more consistent time slot and is airing twice a day! I am so grateful you are finding value there!

I'm working on more great calls for YOU, so your feedback is welcome.

I'm putting together a Social Media Q and A call, because there is always so many questions on the how tos. So what would YOU like to know more about?

And, I am putting together another "general business" Q and A call for November 1st!

Ask your questions on the Facebook Page and we'll go over them on the calls on November 1st and 15th, respectively! I'll be covering the questions asked on Facebook FIRST and then we'll get to live questions as time permits,

Then, on November 8th, I have a fantastic interview lined up with an award winning, 7 figure earner who has gone through the ups and downs with ONE company over the past 23 years. We are going to talk about her experiences, staying focused, committed and LOYAL and what that can mean for you!

Got this all on your calendar? Good!

Have an amazing week!

PS - December is going to be the month we focus on getting your Social Media Tools in order on our calls and emails. This is a great time for YOU to set aside some time to clean things up; get things launched, etc. Wondering where to start? Here is my checklist and resources to assist you!
