Two days from Hell and what I learned

Published: Tue, 11/11/14

There are a few phone calls every parent dreads

and hopes to never receive.

A week ago, last Tuesday, my phone rang with

news that my 22 year old son had been involved

in a motorcycle crash and was in a hospital

trauma center with serious injuries.

Cracked ribs, broken back bones, some road

rash and other scrapes and bruises - he was

pretty banged up.

We had two rough days in the hospital, dealing

with his pain, prognosis and what would lie ahead.

Fortunately, he is going to be fine, and is expected

to make a full recovery in 6-8 weeks. He is ALIVE,

Thank you God!!!

Despite the nightmare of it all, I was able

to remain fairly calm, reminding myself -

“You are in a hospital, not a morgue, not a

funeral home. It could be so much worse…”

And, through it all. I was so grateful for a few

things -

1. I own my own business, internet based, so

I was able to drop everything and be there, with

no boss to advise or hassles.

2. Because my business is fairly automated, it

continued to work for me, producing leads

and INCOME.

3. I’ve been able to rearrange my schedule to

take care of him as he rehabs here at home

with us.

I realized in a split second what really matters in

life, and even though I already KNEW it, it helps

to be reminded.

Life is extremely fragile and the only moment we

really have is this one, right now.

The past is over, let it go.

The future is not here, and is not guaranteed,

so it’s best to be fully present in this moment.

15 years ago, I saw the power and potential that

the internet offered.

I caught the vision.

No one ever said it would be easy, and that it

wouldn’t take work.

And, in many ways, it has not been easy and it

sure has taken work.

And, everything great that we want in life is just

that -

Not always easy and not without work.

My passion and I do mean PASSION

is coaching others on how to use Social

Media and online tools to build a business

that you TRULY own….

One that gives you a great deal of freedom

and independence.

I almost can’t even put into words what that

has meant to me over the last 15 years.

It really brings me to tears of gratitude.

Thursday night, I am putting on a fr ee

webinar on what’s up with Social Media.

What’s new, what hasn’t change in 15 years

and what you’ll want to know to profit from

what it can offer you.

You’ve heard about lifestyle entrepreneurs

and click million aires, right?

You have no idea how simple the path is

to become one yourself.

Simple - not always easy, because human

nature is to resist the obvious and look

for some secret sauce.

Simple - not without work. I have

put thousands and thousands of

hours into the process.

And, the beauty - I’ve done most all

if it from home; from the beach; from

hotel rooms around the world. With my

children right by my side, while they

were home with me.

In my PJs; in my yoga pants; in my

swimming suit.

YOU CAN DO THIS, TOO!

Join me Thursday, 9pm ET, 6pm PT
