When I started my business online in October of 1999, Spam was already a "thing."

I saw so many people being spammy and hypey, selling their stuff with no regard for the person on the other end of the exchange.

I think that's why things went so fast and successfully for me - I did a complete 180. I focused on understanding what my most likely business client was really looking for.

And, I sold the heck out of that without having to really "Sell." I knew how to speak to them in their language and get their attention.

This still works today! Yet, I still shake my head watching so many people get it wrong out there on Instagram, Facebook and Tik Tok.
